The Practitioners
Kena
Kena of Kalibrate Bodywork is a massage therapist with 9 years experience. She offers Structural Integration to address connective tissue issues related to reduced mobility and pain. In house: Tuesday to Saturday.
Bernadette
Bernadette of Studio Soothe has been working in massage therapy for over 20 years. She offers Lymphatic Drainage, Core Synchronism, and Polarity Therapy.
In house: Wednesday to Saturday.
Angelica
Angelica of Awakening Movement has over 15 years of experience in the health field. She offers Ayurvedic treatments and Neuro Training for clients with chronic pain.
In house: Sunday to Thursday.
The Studio
We are located on Central Avenue east of the Downtown area, within the old courtyard of Plaza Escalante. You may have noticed this entryway in passing, but have not dared to enter. In fact, it's locked most of the time and so we are accessible by appointment only. The ground is so old the tree roots are pushing up the bricks. Tread carefully. The charm of this old world space is endless, though it unfortunately prevents wheelchair accessibility.
We worked every day for three months bringing our little building back to life before opening our doors. Inside you will find a spacious entry way where we ask you to leave you shoes, a comfortable waiting area filled with plants, and three fully equipped treatment rooms where clients find the care and expertise they've been searching for.
Three Fates Intertwined
The three of us met in 2020 while working as therapists at an Ayurvedic clinic in Nob Hill. We became close friends over the years, and in the fall of 2025 we were ready to co-own a space together. Circumstances led us to find a cute fixer-upper downtown, so we decided to join forces, renovate and start Escalante Therapeutics!

While we operate the studio jointly, we are in fact three distinct practices under one roof:
Kalibrate Bodywork with Kena who organizes fascia,
Studio Soothe with Bernadette who refreshes lymphatic circulation and restores spinal rhythm,
and Awakening Movement with Angelica who assesses brain function and re-establishes movement confidence.
All us are committed to the health and empowerment of our clients. We look forward to working with you!
